Make Our Planet Great Again!

The French government has renewed its call for applications to the Make Our Planet Great Again scholarship program.

Launched by France’s president Emmanuel Macron in 2017, this scholarship program encourages international students to come to France to study subjects related to responding to climate change:

  • earth systems,
  • climate change and sustainability,
  • energy transition,
  • societal challenges of environmental issues.

According to these themes, ISA Lille’s Environmental Science and Agricultural Science programs are particularly relevant, although sustainability is at the core of all of our master’s programs. ISA Lille was honored to welcome three MOPGA scholars in the 2017 call for applications. Read more about these students on our blog.

Financed by the French ministries of European and Foreign Affairs and Higher Education, Research and Innovation, this scholarship is facilitated by Campus France. The MOPGA scholarship offers successful students an excellence grant of €1,190 per month for the duration of their master’s program in France (one or two years). Round-trip airfare and medical insurance are also provided. Students can get more information from their local Espace Campus France.

How to Apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be currently enrolled to earn or have a Bachelor’s degree
  • be exclusively of the nationality and reside in one of the eligible countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea)
  • not have resided in France after April 1, 2019
  • be accepted to a master’s program in a French university, starting before October 2020

See the full application process on the Campus France website.

Since you must already be accepted to a master’s program before applying for the MOPGA scholarship, the first step is to apply to ISA Lille.  Start by downloading the application form, then send it with required documents to our International Admissions Office. After that, you will be invited for a scientific assessment and interview. The complete application procedure for our master’s programs is found on our Admissions page. Because there are several steps involved, start now to meet the MOPGA application deadline: April 5. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the deadline to apply has been extended to April 26.
